5/18/10-Gov. Jan Brewer has signed a bill into law that transfers up to $7 million this fiscal year from money left in the photo-enforcement fund after all costs are paid to the public-safety equipment fund.
Previously SB1018, the new law also prohibits photo-enforcement systems from being placed within 600 feet of a posted speed-limit change.

2/8/10-The Senate Public Safety and Human Services Committee has approved a bill that would transfer up to $4 million this fiscal year from money left in the photo-enforcement fund after all costs are paid to the public-safety equipment fund.
SB1018 would also would prohibit photo-enforcement systems from being placed within 600 feet of a posted speed-limit change and require a speed-limit sign within 300 feet of the first photo-enforcement sign.
The bill now moves to the Senate Rules Committee.
