Indemnification amounts to somebody else using your insurance to cover their negligence. Shippers have a pretty sweet deal in this – directly at the expense of truckers.

Your input could go a long way in determining the outcome of a bill in the Vermont House that is intended to reduce unnecessary idling of large trucks. The bill – H154 – would limit trucks that weigh more than 10,000 pounds to idling for no more than five minutes per hour. Violators would face fines as high as $500, depending on prior offenses.
