OOIDA Information Update – Indiana Members
Shortly before midnight Tuesday, March 14, Indiana lawmakers gave final approval to Gov. Mitch Daniels’ plan to lease the toll road to a foreign firm.
The vote in the House was extremely close at 51 for and 48 against. Unfortunately, we were only able to turn one yes vote to a no instead of the three we needed.

It’s crunch time in terms of making your views known on the Toll Road. The matter is now in a conference committee where it will be modified and sent back to the House and Senate for an up or down vote. This will happen quickly. The Legislature’s final day in session is Tuesday, March 14.
