- Developing the Business Plan – Developing a business plan will lay the foundation of the business. This segment will review how to set up a personal business plan.

- Understanding Costs and Pay Methods. This portion is geared towards understanding how to calculate the best method of payment.

- Time Management/Cost Control – Make sure any time that is used is used productively. This will teach drivers how to carefully plan their time and avoid ending up in a financial hole.

- Types of Insurance – A wide variety of insurance plans are required under Federal Regulations along with a host of other insurance that may or may not be needed. We will review the types of insurance that are required by federal regulations.

- Broker Agreements/Factoring – This portion will give an opportunity to discuss some tips on broker agreements.
- Tour of OOIDA Headquarters – The class will take a tour of the Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association Headquarters in Grain Valley, MO.
- Understanding/Filing for Authority – An authority expert will be teaching on the requirements to obtain your own authority and answering questions. We will also examine the requirements for a new entrant safety audit.
