Truckers for Troops
With over 37% of OOIDA members having served in the military it is only fitting that OOIDA continues to remember and send care packages to our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. A telethon was initiated in 2007 that was so successful that it is becoming a tradition. Truckers in 2008 and 2009 living with escalating fuel prices and recession reached deep inside their souls and their pockets to donate over $95,000. That money was used to send care packages to our troops bringing a little bit of home and a reminder that they are still in our hearts.
The 3rd Annual Truckers for Troops is fast approaching!
If you have family or close friends serving in the military in Iraq or Afghanistan, we are looking forward to hearing from you with addresses so they can benefit from the Truckers for Troops.
