CVSA approves HOS out-of-service criteria

Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance members recently approved the out-of-service criteria on hours of service and cargo securement affecting the United States and Mexico.

Once Canada approves its regulations, the criteria will be modified accordingly.

The members also approved a one-time temporary change to Jan. 1 for the effective date of the 2004 out-of-service criteria. In 2005, it will revert to April 1.
