Our goal is 100% participation!
During the past year, the expanded staff of lobbyists in OOIDA’s Washington office has made greater progress than ever before in reaching out to members of Congress and their staffs, educating them on the needs of professional truckers and securing their support.
A key element of those activities is supported by the OOIDA Political Action Committee (PAC). It is important that our OOIDA PAC have the resources available to help counter the message of those other groups.
By combining your individual contribution with other fellow OOIDA members in the OOIDA PAC, you help us create increased awareness of your concerns and ensure that they get the attention they rightly deserve.
Just imagine the additional clout our interests would have if our PAC had 100% participation from the OOIDA membership of over 150,000 truckers. Even if each member gave $12, or $1 a month, then our PAC would exceed well over $1 million!
By federal law, the OOIDA PAC is not allowed to accept funding from the OOIDA trade association. The PAC must raise its funds separately and only from members. One hundred percent of your contribution will be used to promote the visibility of your issues in Washington. No money from the PAC is used to pay administrative expenses, staff or go towards anything but political contributions.
