“Live From Exit 24” to feature FMCSA’s Joe DeLorenzo

Hours-of-service will be main topic on OOIDA’s internet talk show

The next episode of “Live From Exit 24” is scheduled for August 12 and will feature Joe DeLorenzo, acting associate administrator for enforcement at the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.

The Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association created this show in July 2020. It airs every other Wednesday from 11 a.m. – 12 noon Central time.

Host Mike Matousek, OOIDA’s Manager of Government Affairs, plans to make the new hours-of-service the main topic which will give participants the chance to learn as much as possible in preparation for the effective date, which is September 29. In his position at FMCSA, Mr. DeLorenzo is responsible for a wide range of policy and program development, including enforcement and compliance activities for all areas of commercial motor vehicle safety.

OOIDA created “Live From Exit 24” to expand how the Association communicates with members and to take advantage of the opportunities the internet allows for live audio streaming.

The live show is scheduled for every other Wednesday and the Association encourages truck drivers to call in with a question or comment. To be a part of the next show, call 317-67-OOIDA (317-676-6432) at 11 a.m. – 12 noon Central time on Aug. 12.
