Todd Spencer presented with a Golden Achievement Award

OOIDA President Todd Spencer will be presented with a Golden Achievement Award during the ATHS Convention and Truck Show in Madison, Wis.

The Golden Achievement Award is presented by the American Truck Historical Society (ATHS) to individuals who have been involved in the trucking industry for 50 or more consecutive years, honoring their excellence, leadership, and service to the profession.

Spencer, who began his career in trucking in 1974, was a natural fit for this prestigious recognition. He soon became the editor of OOIDA’s Land Line magazine and, in 1978, was elected to the OOIDA Board of Directors. In 1992, Spencer was named the association’s executive vice president, and in 2018, he became the fourth president of OOIDA.

In announcing Spencer’s honor, ATHS praised him as a “stalwart advocate for America’s independent truckers.” “Spencer has been a guiding voice in national transportation policy, frequently testifying before Congress and advising key federal safety and regulatory bodies,” an ATHS news release stated.

2025 ATHS Convention
The 2025 ATHS Convention and Truck Show, held at the Alliant Energy Center, will feature over 1,000 historic and modern trucks from across the country, some dating back to 1910.

Scheduled events include educational presentations, hands-on demonstrations, historical sessions, a kickoff party, a light show, and the ATHS awards banquet.
