Truckers for Troops® partners with
Wreaths Across America for “Giving in July”
OOIDA invites members and supporters to sponsor wreaths
The Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association’s (OOIDA) Truckers for Troops® joins national non-profit Wreaths Across America® (WAA) in kicking off its annual “Giving in July” campaign, an initiative to support the year-round effort where every $17 wreath sponsorship also benefits participants in the Sponsorship Group Program.
By teaming up with WAA’s Sponsorship Group Program, OOIDA members can honor service-members in two meaningful ways: placing a fresh wreath on a veteran’s grave this December while directing a portion of each sponsorship back to Truckers for Troops.
“Professional truckers have always stood shoulder to shoulder with America’s service-members,” said Norita Taylor, Strategic Advocacy & Corporate Responsibility at OOIDA. “Through Giving in July, a single $17 donation honors a fallen hero and fuels programs that support living veterans and active-duty personnel. It’s a perfect fit for Truckers for Troops.”
How to participate
- Sponsor a wreath through Truckers for Troops’ WAA group page.
- Share the hashtag #GivinginJuly to spread the word on social media.
- Volunteer locally on National Wreaths Across America Day, Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025, when more than 5,000 participating cemeteries will place wreaths nationwide.
