Brad Hennon grew up in the offices at OOIDA. His grandparents Jim and Mary Johnston minded him as a toddler and Brad spent his childhood playing on the office floor under Jim’s desk and with his grandma as she worked on the phone collecting money owed to truckers.
In January 1998, Brad officially became an employee of OOIDA and from mowing to packing boxes to construction projects, no job was too little or too big.
He was promoted to supervisor of the Shipping Department and then in 2015 to manager of Internal Services. Internal Services includes 12 employees that comprise the shipping and receiving department, purchasing, front desk coordinators, and housekeeping teams. He also leads the efforts of OOIDA’s Internal Services 14-member Safety Committee.
In 2017, Brad was elected by employees to serve as the Alternate Employee Director on OOIDA’s Board of Directors.
In the spring of 2018, he was sworn in and now serves as a fully-seated board member.
One of the standing committees he is most proud to serve on is the Mary Johnston Scholarship Committee.
Brad and his wife Jolene and their family live in Odessa, Mo. Brad enjoys family activities, hunting, fishing, water sports, motorcycle riding and living the country life. He also likes tinkering in his garage with just about anything that has a motor.
