The Importance of a Strong OOIDA PAC

Along with the size of our membership base and grassroots activities, politicians also often equate the association’s PAC (Political Action Committee) participation as a measure of our members’ interest in politics and an indicator of how active our members will be when it comes time to vote.

A strong PAC is important for amplifying our voice in politics. By pooling resources and support, the PAC helps ensure that elected officials understand which issues matter most and why they matter. It allows members to move beyond individual influence and engage lawmakers in a more meaningful, organized way.

OOIDA follows a strategic plan that focus on lawmakers who are more focused on important transportation and infrastructure issues. We have made significant progress in making our voice heard, while educating lawmakers on professional truckers’ needs, and gaining their support.
